For two decades, the contemporary jazz quartet Fourplay formed by Bob James, Nathan East, Harvey Mason and Chuck Loeb has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of R&B, pop and a variety of other sounds to their unwavering jazz foundations. In the course of a dozen recordings - six of which have climbed to the top of Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Album charts - the supergroup has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad mainstream audience.

Herbie Hancock is back in Montreux for the 28th time! Each time, the jazz legend manages to surprise and enchant his public. In 2008, he took part to the tribute to Quincy Jones. A year later, Hancock and Chinese piano virtuoso Lang Lang subjugated the Auditorium Stravinski audience with the world premiere of their joint tour. In 2011, the 12-time Grammy Award winner shared the stage with Marcus Miller and Wayne Shorter for an unforgettable Tribute to Miles Davis. In 2012, he will be joined by his band formed by Lionel Loueke (Guitar), James Genus (bass) and Trevor Lawrence Jr (drums).
