Der Einstieg in das Musikbusiness

Noch bevor der junge Alex Costanzo in den Ausgang ging, fanden ihn seine Freunde
hinter einem Mischpult vor, an welches alte Plattenspieler und ein Discman angeschlossen waren. Das Feuer mit der Musik Kunst zu machen wurde bei dem am 16.10.1985 geborenen DJ entfacht! Die Möglichkeit seine ersten Schritte als DJ zu machen bekam er in einem kleinen Club in Laufen BL. Als er diesen betrat, wurde der frisch gebackene DJ noch nicht ernst genommen und musste sein vorhandenes Talent erst unter Beweis stellen. Den Weg nach vorne, fordert immer Hindernisse, doch jedes ist ein Ansporn es locker zu überspringen! Sein Können überzeugte schon bei den ersten Sets und seine anwesenden Freunde liessen die Begeisterung auf die anderen Partypeople über.

Der Aufstieg von Alex Costanzo

Nach diesem fulminanten Start ins DJing startete
er durch. Ohne Heimvorteil als Aussenseiter in
Courrendlin (JU) im Club 138 gewann er trotz den
sprachlichen Barierren den hiesigen Contest. Die
hochkarätige Jury war von seinen Fähigkeiten als
guter DJ und Entertainer überzeugt. Dieser Contest
gab den Startschuss für weitere Bookings im In-
und Ausland. Alex Costanzo spielte unter anderem
in Namhaften Clubs wie OXA (ZH), Club Q (ZH),
Rohstofflager (ZH), Baja Imperiale (I) in Italien und
sogar im Tantra Club (E) in Ibiza.

Im Jahre 2005 beschloss er sich dem Partylabel
4-difference-B.O.P anzuschliessen. Mit diesem
Beitritt verschaffte er sich weitere Möglichkeiten
seine Erfahrungen und sein musikalisches Spektrum
zu erweitern. Der Austausch mit anderen DJs und Labels prägten seinen heutigen Stil stark.

Die Ideen des Labels und die von Alex Costanzo gingen aber bald etwas auseinander. Für die Persönlichkeitsentwicklung seiner Künstlerfigur wollte er auf eigenen Beinen stehen um diese selbst zu prägen. Deshalb trat er bis Ende des Jahres 2005 wieder aus dem Label aus.

In der Folgenden Zeit organisierte er immer wieder eigene Events für die Leute der Region und konnte sich so eine beachtliche Fangemeinde aufbauen. Die Kontakte zu lokalen und nationalen Künstler wurde damit vertieft und Alex Costanzo konnte einen wertvollen Ein-
blick hinter die Kulissen der Eventorganisation werfen. Die bekannteste Party wahr wohl die Dirty Italy welche über 600 Partypeople anlockte.

Mit der steigenden Anzahl von Bookings musste er jedoch die Prioritäten neu setzen.
Mit dem neuen Partner Christoph Glanzmann gründete er zu Anfang des Jahres 2007
das Label RichMusic Switzerland. Alex Costanzo kümmerte sich dort um die künstlerischen Bereiche wie Produktionen und DJing. Ausserdem profitierte das Label von den Kontakten zu anderen Künstlern, welche über ihn gebucht wurden. Das auch unter Mithilfe von
Gilles Hirt geführte Label kümmerte sich um Eventorganisation und das Management von Alex Costanzo. Ende des Jahres 2007 übergab Alex Costanzo aus Orientierungs Gründen das Label an Gilles Hirt und Marco Damiano.

Mit einer neuen, starken Promoter-Crew gründete er am 30.03.08 das neue Partylabel:

Die Zukunft

Alex Costanzo spielt ein breites Spektrum von Musik. Seine housige Richtung bleibt er treu, wobei er von Electrohouse über soulige Musik mit Vocals bis hin zu angesagten minimal- Scheiben bietet er alles was ein anspruchvolles Publikum zum Rocken bringt.

Seit Anfang Juli 2007 produziert Alex Costanzo auch an den ersten Tracks. Der erste Track: „Shines Like Gold“ war sein erster Streich. Der Song ist downloadbar auf "Beatport.com" und stieg auf dem Download Programm "Djdownload.com" auf Platz 1 der Charts. Das nächste grosse Ziel ist, bald eine eigene Compilation zu mixen. Die eigenen Produktionen sollen ihn auch unter Produzenten bekannt machen, welche ihn und sein Label weiter auf seinem Weg begleiten. Wir können gespannt sein, welche Überraschungen wir von Alex Costanzo noch erwarten dürfen.

The entry into the business

The first opportunity for Alex Costanzo to become a Dj was in a small club in Laufen (BL).
The way to the top presented lots of difficulties but every single one was conquered to
top them. After a great start to being a Dj, he has been unstoppable.

He won his first contest in Courrendlin (JU) in the "Club 138" without any home advantage and as an outsider.

The rise of Alex Costanzo He impressed the well-known jury with his abilities
as a good Dj and entertainer. This contest was the
start of his career. Many bookings, national and inter-
national followed. Alex Costanzo played in famous clubs like OXA (ZH), Club Q (ZH), Rohstofflager (ZH),
Baja Imperiale (I) in Italy and even in the Tantra Club in Ibiza.

In 2005 he decided to join with the label 4-difference
B.O.P. The connections and exchange of music with
other Dj’s had a big influence on his style today.
Meanwhile he organised lots of events and got
more and more fans who love his music. Alex’s
connections to local and national artists became
stronger and he got an insight behind the scene
of event managing. His most successful party was called "Dirty Italy".More then 600 people were shaking
their stuff on the dance floor.

Alex started a new label called RichMusic Switzerland together with his partner
Christoph Glanzmann at the beginning of 2007. His job is the production and Dj'ing
on events.

The future

Since 2007 Alex Costanzo mixes in the well known Q-Lab Studio in Basel. He recorded
the song “Shines Like Gold” together with an American singer Lori Glori in August 2007.
We can all be excited by what comes next from Dj Alex Costanzo - a young Dj with plenty
of potential.

L’entrée dans le business musical:

Avant même qu’Alex Costanzo soit de sortie, ses amis l’on rencontré derrière une table de mixage à laquelle il avait branché un vieux tourne disques et un discman. Le feu de l’art musical s’était allumé dans le jeune DJ né le 16.10.85. La possibilité de faire ses premiers pas en tant que DJ lui fut donnée dans un petit club de Laufon BL. Lors de son entrée le jeune DJ n’était pas encore pris au sérieux. Il devait d’abord faire preuve de ses talents. Son cheminement était toujours à nouveau semé d’embûches, mais, celles-ci furent une motivation pour les surpasser/surmonter. Son savoir faire a déjà convaincu lors du premier set, et ses amis présents surent transmettre leur enthousiasme aux autres participants.

Le progrès d’Alex Costanzo:

Après se départ fulminant, il entra dans le monde
du DJing. Malgré les barrières linguistiques et les
désavantages d’un outsider, il a également gagné
la confiance du public au club 138 à Courrendlin.
Le jury exigeant a été convaincu de ses bonnes
capacités en tant que DJ et animateur. Ce contest
fut le départ pour d’autres engagements dans le
pays et à l’étranger. Alex Costanzo a joué dans
des clubs renommés tels que OXA (ZH), Club Q
(ZH), Rohstofflager (ZH), Baja Imperiale en italie
ainsi qu’au Tantra Club Ibiza.

En 2005 il décida de s’associer au label 4-difference
B.O.P. Par cette association, d’autres possibilités se
présentèrent à lui pour élargir ses expériences et
ouvrir son spectre musical. Le partage avec d’autres DJs et labels a marqué son style actuel.

Les idées du label et d’ Alex Costanzo s’écartèrent peu à peu. Afin de développer et de marquer la personnalité de sa figure d’artiste, il a souhaité faire cavalier seul, raison pour laquelle il quitta, fin 2005, le label. Par la suite il organisa régulièrement des évents pour les gens de la région, ce qui lui permis de se créer une communauté de fans notable. Le contact plus profond avec des artistes locaux et nationaux, permit à Alex Costanzo de jeter un coup d’œil dans les coulisses de l’organisation des évents. La soirée la plus connue fut très certainement "Dirty Italy", qui attira env. 600 personnes.

Avec des engagements toujours plus nombreux, il s’est vu dans l’obligation de replacer ses priorités. Avec son nouveau partenaire, Christoph Glanzmann, il créa, début 2007, le label RICHmusic Switzerland. Dans ce cadre, Alex Costanzo s’occupait des domaines artistiques tels que la production et le DJing. D’autre part, le label profita à d’autres artistes qui furent engagés par lui. Le label, conduit par Christoph Glanzmann, s’occupait de l’organisation d’évents et du management d’ Alex Costanzo, ce qui fut une aide précieuse. Fin 2007, pour des raisons d’orientation, Alex Costanzo remit le label à Christoph Glanzmann et Marco Damiano.

Avec une nouvelle équipe de promotion, Alex Costanzo fonda, le 30.03.08 le nouveau label: CityBeats® - Better Then Everyone!

L’avenir:

Alex Costanzo possède un large spectre musical. Il demeure fidèle à son orientation house. Cependant, il présente tout ce qui anime un public exigeant à rocker, c’est-à-dire de l’électrohouse en passant par la musique soul avec des vocalises et d’autres disques spontanés.

Dès le début 2007, Alex Costanzo produit ses premiers tracks. Sa première chanson, „Shines Like Gold“, fut son premier coup. La chanson peut être téléchargée sur Beatport.com et s’est hissée à la première place des téléchargements sur le site Djdownload.com. Le prochain objectif est de bientôt mixer sa propre compilation. Ses propres productions devraient aussi le faire connaître parmi des producteurs, qui l’accompagneront, lui et son label, sur son chemin.
